Nicholas J. Cardoso

Associate

Nick maintains a broad litigation practice with a primary focus on business disputes and employment law. He represents clients on both the plaintiff and defense sides, offering balanced insight and strategic perspective to each matter. His experience includes complex commercial litigation, contract disputes, and claims involving discrimination, retaliation, and wage-and-hour violations in both New Jersey and Pennsylvania state and federal courts. Prior to joining Kang Haggerty, Nick practiced at an Am Law 200 firm, where he gained valuable exposure to defense strategies that inform his approach today.

He has secured favorable results across a wide range of matters. In one case, Nick represented an employer facing allegations of retaliation, wrongful termination, and discrimination by a former employee. Through thorough preparation and close collaboration with the client, he achieved a settlement for less than one-fifth of the initial mediation demand. He has also obtained multiple victories on preliminary objections in Pennsylvania, including a ruling that eliminated all direct claims against his client. In addition to his state court practice, Nick maintains an active federal practice and is a member of the John C. Lifland Federal Inn of Court.
