Represented a life insurance trust in federal court litigation resulting in the recovery of $20 million from six insurance companies for the benefit of the victims of a Ponzi scheme.

Represented locally owned national medical equipment leasing company in successful breach of covenant of good faith and fair dealing federal suit against an investment banking firm.

Managing counsel of the solicitors and barristers in an international letter of credit dispute in the business court of London’s Royal Courts of Justice that settled after three weeks of trial.


Federal RICO Litigation

Settled favorably on behalf of KHF client a multi-million dollar federal RICO suit against over 20 defendants alleging an interstate equipment theft ring. KHF Lawyers, Edward T. Kang and Gregory H. Mathews prosecuted the claim.


Insurance Bad Faith

Recovery of several hundred thousand dollars for an oil company whose insurance claim for its oil delivery trucks damaged by flood was wrongfully denied. KHF lawyers, Edward T. Kang, Jacklyn Fetbroyt, and Gregory H. Mathews successfully prosecuted a bad faith claim against the insurance company resulting in the favorable settlement.


Fraud Litigation

Recovery of several hundred thousand dollars on behalf of a subcontractor for the contractor’s willful failure to pay for work performed during renovation of a center city office building.

Settled favorably on behalf of a creditor that sued the debtor in the bankruptcy court in an adversarial action. After obtaining a favorable judgment after bench trial in the bankruptcy court, the creditor settled with the debtor. KHF Lawyer Edward T. Kang successfully prosecuted and tried the case.


Shareholder Litigation

Settled favorably on behalf of a majority shareholder in a multi-million shareholder oppression action. KHF Lawyers Edward T. Kang and Jacklyn Fetbroyt successfully fended off a group of minority shareholders in this “bet the company” litigation.
