Kang Haggerty Hosts Post EDPA Roundtable Happy Hour for TAF at Kiddo

Kang Haggerty was pleased to host a post‑Eastern District of Pennsylvania Roundtable Happy Hour for TAF – The Anti‑Fraud Coalition last night at Kiddo in Philadelphia. The gathering brought together whistleblower practitioners, government colleagues, and members of the broader anti‑fraud community to continue the conversations sparked during the EDPA roundtable.

We’re grateful to everyone who joined us to strengthen the relationships that drive effective False Claims Act enforcement and support the mission of TAF. A special thank‑you to Kiddo for the warm hospitality and to all who helped make the evening a success.

We look forward to continuing to support TAF’s work and to creating more opportunities for connection across our community.

Kang Haggerty Presenting at The Anti-Fraud Coalition’s Annual Conference in DC

Kang Haggerty LLC’s Whistleblower Advocates practice group will be well-represented at this week’s Anti-Fraud Coalition (TAF) 24^th Annual Conference taking place at the Georgetown Marriott in Washington, DC from September 24-27, 2024.

Kang Haggerty members Edward Kang, Kandis Kovalsky and associates Ross Wolfe and Sofia Calabrese will participate in the largest annual gathering of whistleblower attorneys in the nation. Kovalsky and Calabrese are both members of the TAF Coalition’s Young Lawyers Division board.

On September 26^th, Kovalsky will present on “The End of Chevron Defense: How Does Loper Bright Impact Whistleblower Practice,” discussing how Loper Bright will impact the whistleblower space. She is also a panelist on a program about generating business as part of the TAF Young Lawyers Division Conference on September 24^th.

The firm is once again a proud event sponsor of the conference. The Anti-Fraud Coalition (TAF Coalition) is a public interest, non-profit organization dedicated to defending and empowering whistleblowers who expose fraud on the government and the financial markets.

Kang Haggerty is pleased to have taken the Taxpayers Against Fraud Penny Pledge to help protect whistleblower laws. The firm is “paying it forward” by pledging to commit a penny for every dollar collected in the practice to help enhance and preserve whistleblower programs into the future.

Taxpayers Against Fraud (TAF) is a non-profit organization committed to defending and empowering individuals who expose fraud in both governmental and financial markets. TAF focuses on rigorously empowering and protecting whistleblowers and educating and supporting attorneys that represent and advocate for these Whistleblowers.
